February 2012, New Designer Wedding Show, New Feature Wall….
Up until the Saturday prior to the show we were opting for our signature flowers to cover the whole stand, but something felt wrong about churning out something people had already seen, all be it to a new audience..so then the humble paper wheel bacame the wall coverage of choice. Not only do they look very effective, we could put our own Cutture stamp on them, the devil is, after all, in the detail..We got quite excited after folding scraps of yellow paper on Saturday evening, to then deciding laser cut details just had to be added, these could be used for real wedding and events as stunning backdrops, so needed a textured feel to the pale grey card.
So then followed, in amongst ongoing jobs, brochure collation, finishing collections, constructing a huge stand…..4 days of laser cutting, 300 sheets of paper, 200 acrylic buttons, 150 detailed centre pieces, 3 evenings folding, stapling, and assembling, 1 day construction, 2 weeks stress inducing, 2 injuries, 150 cafine drinks, 3 days of showing it all off.
This is how it was done.
Tune in next week for the official photo’s of the final stand.
